Maternity Photography Workshop

Are you ready to grow your photography skills and feel more confident in the studio? Maybe you’re struggling with consistency when working with artificial light, or you’re curious about how to create bold, creative setups that stand out. Whether you want to master clean, timeless maternity portraits or play with more daring, colorful looks, this workshop is built to help you get there.

The Maternity Photography Workshop is a full-day, intensive program where I share my complete process for creating elegant, modern, and artistic maternity portraits. Together, we’ll go through everything from lighting and styling to posing, working with clients, organizing your studio space, and building a memorable experience that sets you apart as a photographer.

This is not just about watching me shoot—it’s about you practicing, experimenting, and leaving with the tools and confidence to recreate what you’ve learned. You’ll also get an inside look at my post-production process and see how I achieve glowing skin, natural tones, and polished final images that clients love.

You can choose between two formats:

  • Group Masterclass: 6-8 photographers, matched by skill level for a supportive, collaborative learning environment where everyone can share, practice, and grow together.
  • Individual Workshop: a one-on-one session designed entirely around your needs, goals, and experience level.

What You’ll Gain

This 10-hour workshop is very hands-on. You’ll work with one or two models as I guide you through my workflow step by step: preparing your studio, setting up the lights, directing your client, choosing styling, and capturing portraits that are flattering, artistic, and professional.

Workshop Flow (flexible based on your needs)

09.00 – 10.00 | Welcome & Introduction

We’ll start the day by getting to know each other and setting personal goals.

  • In group workshops: this is a chance to connect with other photographers and share your experiences.
  • In individual workshops: we’ll focus on your own challenges and ambitions, including time for business and marketing advice—whether it’s social media, website strategy, or building your brand.
10.00 – 11.00 | Working with a Model
  • Preparing both yourself and your client for a smooth photoshoot
  • How styling choices support the pose and mood of the image
  • Posing techniques that create confidence and elegance, including tasteful nude photography
11.00 – 12.00 | Understanding Studio Lighting

We’ll cover the “why” behind every lighting decision:

  • How distance, height, and angle affect your result
  • Choosing between a softbox, beauty dish, barn doors, snoots, or grids
  • Rim and backlight setups, silhouettes, and analyzing reference images to break down the light
12.00 – 12.30 | Coffee Break

12.30 – 16.30 | Practical Maternity Session

Now we put it into practice. Together we’ll create around a dozen different setups—each with new styling and lighting combinations. You’ll rotate in to direct the model and capture your own images. Expect a mix of:

  • Clean, fashion-inspired portraits
  • Elegant artistic setups
  • Styled and nude compositions
16.30 – 17.00 | Lunch Break

17.00 – 19.00 | Retouching, Business & Open Q&A

I’ll walk you through my editing process in Evoto, Lightroom, and Photoshop—how I use presets, actions, and plugins (links included). We’ll also talk about your business questions: pricing, marketing, building your portfolio, and attracting clients who value your work.

What to Bring

  • A DSLR or mirrorless camera
  • Lens: ideally a 50mm f/1.4 or f/1.8, or an 85mm / 24–70mm
